Description: This is a 8-hour shift 5 days each week, with the shift schedule being from 07:00 - 15:30 total of 40 hours per week. Radiology Technician with Need 2 Professional References. Work Location: 3421 W 9th St, Waterloo, IA, 50702. The all-inclusive hourly non-local pay rate for this position is $55.69/hr, encompassing a taxable component of $40.86/hr, along with a per diem of $14.83/hr. Only Travelers are considered who are staying above 60 Miles from the facility\n
Summary:
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift Timings: 07:00-15:30 Hours. 8 hours/5 days. Monday to friday

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Radiology Technologist Iowa state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Technologist program
• One year of work experience as Radiology Technologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

Responsibilities:

• Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
• Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
• Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
• Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
• Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
• Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
• Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
